A labour of love

What started out as an attempt to clear away the yarn stash so I could stop crocheting( it was getting too addictive and with yarn pile getting bigger I feared they would spill into every cupboard and empty space !!), turned out to  be a colourful gift for my daughter’s 16th birthday.

For months I learned and worked on different patterns of granny squares and even tried a couple of my own designs. This blanket has 50 (5 x 10) granny squares and comfortably covers my dotty’s daybed.

I plan to give a fleece lining to this sometime soon, so that her toes do not stick out through the holes  !
