More of plastic raffia and plarn crochet ….

It was too late yesterday night for me to search for some of these raffia and plarn stuff I had made years ago and I promised to share the pictures today.  So here we go…

Plarn crocheted water bottle carrier which is 7 years old !! It was my first plarn crochet project. Maybe its time I give it away to someone who needs it !! For those of you who do not know what plarn is,  read here.

                

                

Above are two crochet covered plastic bottle desk tidies. I cut a milk bottle, and a sprite bottle to the height I wanted.  The milk bottle is covered with plarn crochet, while the sprite bottle is crocheted with plastic raffia about which you can read here.

Now what do you think this could be ?

Well it is a plastic raffia crocheted sack which I made years ago to store my wool which I still use although my stash now is more than twice that amount !

Finally a small shoulder purse I crocheted in plastic raffia for my daughter when she was in school, to carry her bus pass(oyster card) and some change. It is still as good as new except that the Velcro needs gluing back.

I plan to give these away next time I do my spring cleaning 🙂  I have now outgrown crocheting with plarn and plastic raffia !!  Ah ! those were the days when I was exploring cheaper options to yarn !
